Description Carnival Glass Mold-Blown Amberina Compote
Notes Lovely Carnival Glass Compote, with amberina coloring, with the stem, foot and shading at the lip being amber and the bowl a cranberry color. Mold blown with a few tiny bubbles in the glass. ca. 1940. I can't identify the pattern precisely, but it most closely resembles Rose Windows or Snow Fancy. It's a very intricate and deeply and sharply carved (or molded?) design. It stands 6" tall and the lip of the bowl is 6-1/2" across, and it weighs almost 2 lbs. I can't find a maker's mark. There is one short, very thin surface scratch to one of the clear panels on the bowl, but no other wear or faults to glass or carving. Lovely condition and beautiful and unusual coloring. It has been in our family for 55 years.
