1st edition/1st printing. Sub-title: The United States In 1876. Very good plus book (clean, straight & tight; bound in red cloth with silver printing on the side). The lower spine cloth is very lightly bumped from shelving and there is a bit of soil on the upper page edges. The price intact dust jacket is clean, bright & crisp. There is light wear to spine edges and a tiny closed tear at the upper edge near the spine, also one at the lower edge of the spine. The author takes a backward glance at America at it's halfway point in its history. ; B&W Illustrations; 9 1/2" x 6 1/2"; 402 pages |
