Volume II has 375 pages, seven fold-out maps and index. Both volumes are bound in red cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. Volume I has one lightly bumped corner and light wear of the spine cloth at both ends. On the rear pastedown, there is a small blue circle stamped with what looks like an "S" in it. Volume II has a bumped corner also and the same cloth wear at both spine ends. It also has the same circle stamp on the lower corner of the rear pastedown. There is a little browning of pastedown in both volumes, and both have a couple of pages which have been opened a bit widely (no loosening of binding). This edition is dated 1922 on the title page. Both volumes have rough-cut edges that are clean and without marks or tears. A very nice set! A study of Sir Douglas Haig, based on his personal diaries and studies. ; Vol. 2; 9" x 6"
