In all, there are 60 brilliant examples, plus 24 monochrome reproductions. Text is by the Metropolitan staff, Foreward is by the Museum's director, James J. Rorimer. There are 38 pages of illustrated introduction. The book itself is bound in light blue cloth with gilt lettering. It is clean, straight & tight with some rubbing of the lower edge and light soil on the upper page edges. The previous owner's name is neatly written on the front pastedown, otherwise there are no marks and no tears of any pages. The dust jacket is clean, bright & crisp.
