Notes A fascinating account of the development of playing cards throughout the world over a period of some seven hundred years -- from dust jacket. Many color as well as black and white illustrations. The book is bound in green cloth with a silver embossed heart playing card on the front and silver printing on the spine. It is clean, straight & tight. There is a tiny previous owner's sticker on the front pastedown; spine ends & one corner are very lightly bumped, probably from shelving. The dust jacket is price intact, bright & clean. There are a few internally mended edge tears, some chipping with a small piece of material missing on the front upper edge near the spine. A nice copy! ; B/W & Color Illustrations; 9 3/4" x 7 1/2"; 192 pages
