Notes The story of the East European Jews, who during four decades beginning in the 1880's, came to America in the great migration; how they tried to keep their Yiddish culture while making their way in the new society ---from dust jacket. The book is bound in blue cloth with gilt printing on the spine and a blind embossed image of a Jewish boy on the front cover. It is clean, straight and tight without any marks or tears. 5th printing as the letters D-E are printed on the copyright page. The spine ends and one corner lightly bumped and there is a small stain on the lower page edges that doesn't affect the interior at all. The dust jacket is price intact, clean and bright; it has a slight amount of edge wear at the upper spine edge, some sunning of spine and folds and a few small dark spots on the front panel; it is still a very nice dj. ; B&W Photographs; 9 3/4 x 7 inches; 714 pages
