1st edition/1st printing. Illustrated boards, brown and tan with pictures of deer & a squirrel on the front board, black printing. End pages and pastedowns are illustrated. The book is clean, straight and tight; there is wear to edges and spine cloth along with some rubbing. The pages are clean and tight; the only marking is the gift inscription on the front endpage that states "From Aunt Gaye and Uncle Horace, Xmas. 1943". There's also an approximately 2 x 2 inch, blue stain on the top of the front end page that does not go through to the back of that page or other pages. There are wonderful, full page, color illustrations by Walter Alois Weber, 12 in all, throughout the book. ; Color Illustrations; 12 x 10 inches; 64 pages |
