Binding Hardcover; 1st Printing
Notes 1st edition/1st printing. True 1st edition, published 4 days before the U.K. edition. Straight, clean 'very' tight book with no soiling or handwriting with the only fault being a bit of the usual darkening to part of the gilt spine printing, just a hair-width line of fading to the upper spine edge, and a very narrow 'scuff' (no color; something just dragged across) to the upper page edges that also scuffed the binding edges adjacent. The price intact dustjacket is clean, crisp, unfaded with its only fault a very tiny (and I do mean tiny) closed edge tear upper front panel edge. NONE of the usual shelf-rubbing that usually causes darkened areas to this dustjacket. An anonymous agent is held personally responsible for heading off an impending catastrophe. No 'transit papers.' ; 8-1/2" x 6"; 252 pages
