Notes The book is bound in a brown tweed-looking binding with gilt printing. It is clean, straight & tight, the pages have no marks or tears and the text appears to be unread. The lower spine edge is lightly bumped and there are a few, tiny brown spots on top page edges. The dustjacket is bright, clean and price intact. It has some edge wear and a few tiny spots, the spine is faded, and there are two small damp stains on the lower edge. In this classic volume, first published in 1895, the author discusses, in addition to Yellowstone, the origin and development of the national park idea and the National Park Protective Act, a measure which saved Yellowstone. ; B&W Photographs; 7 1/2" x 5"; 208 pages
