Notes 1st edition/1st printing. Nice book in red cloth binding with gold lettering. Spine is straight, pages are clean and tight. Stated 1st edition/1st printing. There is a black mark on the title page, probably with a black magic marker, approximately four inches long and one-half inch wide and a very small black mark on the front end page, both probably where the previous owner blacked out his/her name. Otherwise, the book is without marks or blemishes. There is a small square blindstamp on back of book. The DJ is bright and clean. There is a small, open tear at the lower front and back fold area and some wear in the spine area and slight chipping of the edges. The author explains Southeast Asia's turbulent contemporary history.
