Notes Stated First American Edition and the first translation into English of the ending volume of the acclaimed 4-part series about Joseph and his brothers. Near fine straight, clean and tight book bound in black cloth with bright gilt lettering on the spine, with two 1940s previous owners' short gift inscriptions on the front pastedown under the front DJ flap (no other markings in the book) and just a touch of shelf-bumping to edges. The original VG dustjacket is price intact ($3, and dated 3-44), clean and unfaded with 1/8" to 1/4" paper loss across the top spine end with small edge chips at flap fold ends, a closed tear across the lower spine that has caused some narrow creasing on the lower front panel + there's a bit of rubbing/wear to spine and flap folds ends. The story of Joseph through his rise as a statesman in Egypt to the migration of the Israelites to Egypt.
