Notes Turner investigates his father's death at Dunkirk 40 years later, and learns he was given a Victoria Cross but was shot in the back with a shotgun. Book is clean & tight; there is a stain on (both black-colored paper) rear pastedown and on the back endpage, a very small bit of dust soiling to upper page edges, and slight spine slant. There is also a a narrow tannish stain (glue?) on front side only of front and back DJ flaps, which may be what left the stain on the pastedown and end page(? hard to tell; no roughness to paper - just an area of darker black). Dust jacket is price intact, clean, bright & crisp other than the stain to the 2 flaps. Much better condition than I've made it sound - no ick factor. ; 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"; 196 pages
